Hi, I’m McKenzie
I’m a sapphic printmaker and I work primarily with relief printing techniques. My work draws inspiration from my lived experience as a queer person, and from historical reference to the queer folks who came before me.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Fine Arts - Art & Design
December 2025 • Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
I graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art & Design with a focus in graphic design. This degree allowed me to take a plethora of design courses, and gave me the opportunity to build my own conceptual body of work through the medium of graphic design and printmaking. This design foundation lends itself to my printmaking pursuits and helps me build unique, impactful compositions, rich in texture, typography, and color, that resonate with viewers.
Despite my formal education in graphic design, printmaking has always been my favored medium, and is typically how I bring my digital work into the world. I believe that the best designers are interdisciplinary, and that belief pushes me to make unique and compelling work in new and interesting ways.
